Today, the faithful of St. Innocent Orthodox Church in Macon, Georgia gathered to celebrate the glorious Feast of the Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ. On Mount Tabor, Christ revealed His divine glory to His disciples, allowing them to behold His uncreated light and strengthening them for the Cross that was to come.

During the Divine Liturgy, we also continued the ancient tradition of the Blessing of Grapes and First Fruits, offering the first harvest back to God with thanksgiving and asking His blessing upon the fruits of the earth. As we celebrate this great feast, may we also be transformed by God's grace, growing ever more into the likeness of Christ through prayer, repentance, and participation in His Holy Church.
